Beim Basispass geht es nicht um das Geschick auf dem Pferderücken. Vielmehr geht es um ganz generelle Fragen, Hilfen und Problemstellungen. Zwar ist die Hauptzielgruppe die der Reiter, aber er richtet er sich auch ganz konkret an Personen, die selbst gar nicht reiten. Ich selber gehöre der letzteren Gruppe an und interessiere mich einfach nur für alles rund ums Pferd. Dieser Ratgeber konnte mir noch einiges an Wissen vermitteln ohne langweilig oder zu theoretisch zu wirken.
Der Ratgeber ist toll und einfach geschrieben, man merkt das die Autorin selber Pferde mag und Reiterin ist. Es kam mir so vor als blühe sie beim Schreiben richtig auf, das merkt man als Leser meiner Meinung nach. Vom Grundwissen bis hin zur Pferdegesundheit, Bodenarbeit und ethische Grundsätze werden alle wichtigen Themen behandelt und noch viele mehr.
Wie solltest du Pferde führen? Wie funktioniert das Hufe auskratzen? Was solltest du über die Pferde-Anatomie unbedingt wissen? Welche Punkte sind bei der Pferdehaltung zu beachten? Welche Besonderheiten bringt die Pferdepflege mit sich? Wie solltest du eigentlich Pferde satteln? Diese und viele weitere Fragen und Unklarheiten werden im Buch ausführlich beantwortet und erklärt.
